Humpty Dumpty fell apart

For on examination

They found he had no heart,

All the King’s horses and all the King’s men

Could never put him back together again,

For they found his shell was made of sand.

When they consulted the Queen of Hearts,

They found she held an empty hand.

The Jack of Spades gathered his maids

To see if they held some sway.

Sadly, none of them possessed the art

To put poor Humpty’s heart

                        Together the right way.

With no cards left to play,

It’s a sorry story I say.

In pieces Humpty sat,

Right where he went flat,

Left to decay.
