Exercise #2

Prompt: Write 10 words to do with an occupation.  Pick an emotion.  Write a poem about the emotion without naming the emotion.

Grinding
Drilling
Dawn
Break
Metal
Drive
Nails
Hammer
Lift
Renovate

Wired heads with caffeine wake,
Grinding long for progress’ sake.
Molten Metal churning deep.
Through to the light of dawn never blest with sleep,
I drive down nails in my coffers steep.
Once more droopy eyelids peek,
Hammers strike unending through the week,
Renovations to lift.
Green bills through fingers sift,
To the beat of time I drift.
